Loud Noise On Tower Drive: Burr Ridge Cops
Company representative says he would try to keep down noise.
BURR RIDGE, IL — In recent days, Burr Ridge police responded to loud noise on Tower Drive, a semi-truck that ran over a hydrant and suspicious cars on Madison Street, among other things. Here is information from the latest Burr Ridge police blotter:
- Residents complained about loud noise early in the morning of March 17 in the 100 block of Tower Drive. An officer spoke to a vice president at McFarlane Douglas, which is on Tower Drive, and he said he would do his best to limit the noise in the mornings.
- Police received a report of suspicious cars about 8 p.m. March 17 in the 8100 block of South Madison Street. An officer discovered it was a father and daughter who had pulled over to talk at a distance from each other. They said they were worried about catching the coronarvirus.
- A semi-truck damaged landscaping and ran over a fire hydrant in an island of a cul de sac about 9 p.m. March 16 in the 7900 block of Deerview Court. The incident was caught on a surveillance camera, but the truck could not be identified.
- A man was standing on the side of the road holding a sign reading "God Is In Control" about 6:30 p.m. March 17 near 79th Street and County Line Road. An officer asked the man to stand on the sidewalk for safety reasons. The man said he would in the future, but was done for the day.
- Staff at McDonald's, 9101 Route 83, called police about 5:30 p.m. March 18 after a customer refused to move forward in the drive-thru lane. When an officer arrived, the customer had moved forward and was given a refund, rather than his meal.
