BURR RIDGE, IL – A man kicked a screaming woman lying on the ground over the weekend outside a Burr Ridge bar, police said.

A 42-year-old man of La Grange Highlands was arrested on a charge of domestic battery, according to a police report.

On Monday, though, Cook County prosecutors dropped the charge. In an email, a State's Attorney's Office spokeswoman said the complaining witness was in court and indicated that she did not wish to proceed with the case.
