New Burr Ridge Police Chief Nominated
The current chief is retiring after 15 years at the department's helm.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge's deputy police chief has been nominated as the village's next police chief, replacing the retiring John Madden.
Deputy Police Chief Marc Loftus is Mayor Gary Grasso's choice for chief. The Village Board is set to vote on Loftus' appointment at its meeting Monday.
According to the meeting agenda, Loftus' appointment would be immediate, with his pay set at $160,000.

Earlier this month, the village announced that Madden was retiring as the chief. He joined the department in 1989 and became its chief in 2009. His law enforcement career spans 42 years.
Loftus joined the village's police department in 1998, according to his LinkedIn page. He attended the FBI National Academy in 2018 and holds a master's degree in public safety administration from Lewis University.
