Nightly Lane Closures on I-55 in Burr Ridge Begin Oct. 17
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Nightly lane closures will take place on the Stevenson Expressway (Interstate 55) between Weber Road and Willow Springs Road in Bolingbrook, Woodridge, Romeoville, Darien, Burr Ridge, Willowbrook and Chicago, beginning, weather permitting, Monday, Oct. 17. The closures are necessary for a patching and resurfacing project along the Stevenson Expressway, according to a news release from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
In order to complete the work, temporary, nighttime lane closures will take place in various locations along Interstate 55 from Weber Road to Willow Springs Road. Weekend lane closures also will be necessary on Interstate 55 at Joliet Road and Illinois 53 to complete bridge deck repairs.
The scope of the project includes resurfacing, patching, bridge deck repairs and drainage improvements. The overall project is expected to be completed in Fall 2017.
