On October 21st, Renowned Chef Patrick Cassata Serves Up Cooking Class at Five Seasons Burr Ridge
Bakersfield GM & Executive Chef Leads Session as Part of Club's 'Cooking With Chef' Series; Guests May Register After Oct. 14th
One of the nation’s premier chefs will dish out some of the secrets of his renowned cooking at a special event on Wednesday, October 21st at Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Burr Ridge.
Patrick Cassata, General Manager and Executive Chef at Bakersfield in Westmont, will lead the session from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the club, 6901 S. Madison. In addition to gaining insights from Cassata, attendees will have an opportunity to taste dishes that he prepares as part of the latest installment of “Cooking With Chef,” a series led by a variety of the area’s top guest chefs.
Cassata’s more than 20 years in the field have included stops at Relish, where he honed a “make everything from scratch” mentality and a passion for nouvelle cuisine that he gained from his mentor, Chef Ron Blazek. His other restaurants have included 10 West in Naperville and Eclectic restaurant in Barrington.

In 2009, Cassata was appointed Executive Chef for Wheaton College, where he led ac culinary team of 45 in preparing 35,000 meals weekly. The menu was subjected to socially responsible cooking practices, including stealth nutrition, farm-to-fork, low carbon, and seafood watch programs. His efforts were instrumental in Princeton Review selecting the college #1 for “Best Campus Food” in 2012.
In addition, in 2012, Cassata appeared on Fox’s hit television show, “Hell’s Kitchen,” starring Gordon Ramsay.
