Person Dies In Burr Ridge Area Shooting: Sheriff
A person was found with a gunshot wound lying in the front yard, authorities said.
BURR RIDGE, IL – A person died in a domestic-related shooting late Monday night in a neighborhood southwest of Burr Ridge, authorities said.
DuPage County sheriff's deputies responded to the area of 16W600 Mockingbird Lane.
A deputy saw a suspect matching the description, detaining the person without any problems, according to a sheriff's news release.

The victim was found lying in the front yard with a possible gunshot wound, deputies said. The person was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
The suspect was taken into custody and driven to the detective division for the investigation, the news release said.

The sheriff's office said there was no threat to the public because the shooting was an isolated incident.
