In a statement, the village said 91st Street between Royal and Devon drives is closed because of the incident. Authorities are urging drivers to avoid 91st between Madison Street and County Line Road. Suggested alternate routes for traveling east and west are 83rd and 79th streets.

Western Spring Baptist Church (WSBC), also known as The Village Church, announced July 19th that the Reverend Dr. John Palmieri has been called to the position of Senior Pastor. After prayerfully seeking God’s will, conducting a comprehensive search process, and receiving an affirmative vote of its membership, WSBC is delighted that Dr. Palmieri and his wife Christine will officially join the church effective July 16, 2026. A welcome reception will be held for Dr. and Mrs. Palmieri following the 10am service on July 26, 2026.
