Pleasantdale School District 107 Students Honored with SCOTY Awards

School Citizen of the Year Awards Presented to District 107 Students on March 15

Pleasantdale School District 107 is pleased to announce its School Citizen of the Year (SCOTY) award winners for the 2015-2016 school year. Fourth grader Kiley Mahoney of Pleasantdale Elementary School in La Grange and eighth grader Tatiana Vidakovich of Pleasantdale Middle School in Burr Ridge were honored for their accomplishments by the West 40 Intermediate Service Center at the 20th Annual SCOTY Awards ceremony at West Leyden High School in Northlake on March 15.

To be recognized with the SCOTY award, students must be good school citizens and models for others to emulate, along with grades and activities playing a small role. Mahoney and Vidakovich were selected by their principals and teachers based on criteria set by West 40 and their school community.

For the 2016 awards, over 70 students from local high school and elementary districts were recognized for their achievements. Students received a medal, certificate and a copy of the SCOTY Honor Roll Book.
