Prowler Runs Away From Burr Ridge House: Police
The man was looking into a car on Forest Edge Court, police say.

BURR RIDGE, IL — A resident in the 200 block of Forest Edge Court reported that when a friend left her house about 6 p.m. Feb. 29, she saw a man in the driveway looking into a 2019 Audi. The man ran to his car on the street when the friend saw him, police said. The car was locked and not damaged. The friend had no description of the man's car. The man was described as black and wearing a gray hoodie, police said. The resident requested extra police patrols in the neighborhood.
Here is information from the latest Burr Ridge police blotter:
- A caller reported seeing fireworks being set off from Elm School on Park Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 29. An officer checked the area but did not see or hear fireworks.
- Jesus Mercado, 25, was arrested shortly before noon Feb. 28 at Burr Ridge Parkway and County Line Road on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
- The police took custody of a 2015 Mercedes that was stolen in Burr Ridge on Feb. 29. It was recovered in the 100 block of East 103rd Street in Chicago.
- James Gram, 27, was arrested on a Will County warrant about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 29. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Brandi A. Wood, 26, was arrested on a warrant about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 29. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Police were informed a rabbit was hit by a car at 9 a.m. March 28 at 79th Street and County Line Road. A caller said it was still alive. An officer could not find the rabbit.
