Restaurant Fall, Work Disputes: Burr Ridge Cops
A belligerent woman falls outside a restaurant, but doesn't know why, a police report says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — In recent weeks, Burr Ridge police have handled cases involving a fall outside a restaurant, work disputes, a woman caught in wires, a complaint about a solicitor, a stolen wallet and burglaries. Here is information from the Burr Ridge police blotter:
Fall outside restaurant
- A passerby noticed that a woman fell about 11 p.m. Dec. 12 in the parking lot of Capri Ristorante, 324 Burr Ridge Parkway. The woman was seen laying on the ground. She said she had been drinking at Capri and didn't know how she fell. She was described as belligerent, but got into an ambulance willingly. She was taken to the hospital in La Grange.

- A woman told police Dec. 9 that she had worked for Knights Transportation on South Frontage Road for one week, but the company refused to pay her for the work she completed. An officer referred the woman to the DuPage County Circuit Court.
- A former employee of a business in the 6800 block of High Grove Road told police Dec. 14 that the business would not allow him to pick up his tools. An officer spoke with the managers, who said the former worker could come that day to pick up the tools. The officer told both parties that they could call 911 if they needed an officer on hand as the man retrieved his tools.
Caught in wires
- Police were called to a house on Buttercup Bank about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 21. A woman said she was fine, but her arm was caught in her wires on the side of the bed. An officer freed her from the wires.
Youths on golf carts

- An officer spoke with four youths in a golf cart about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the park at 91st Street and Royal Drive. They returned home and were turned over to their mother.
Solicitor complaint
- A police officer was called about a door-to-door solicitor about 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 on Southgate Court. The person was canvassing the area on behalf of Burr Ridge Trustee Zach Mottl.
Woman punches man
- Police received a report about 11 a.m. Dec. 9 that a woman with long brown hair was possibly punching a man inside a silver Impala near North Frontage Road and Hamilton Avenue. Officers could not find the people.
Upset with police
- A woman came into the police department about noon Dec. 21 to say she was upset that police did not include information in a previous report. But the police said the information was not pertinent. She then requested an order of protection from the police. An officer explained to her the procedures for obtaining an order from DuPage County. The woman recorded the officer with her cellphone.
Burglaries
- A house in the 6000 block of Sedgley Court was reported burglarized Dec. 6. Someone forced entry into a rear service door and ransacked the master bedroom and other bedrooms. Jewelry was stolen.
- An unlocked 2015 Jeep was reported burglarized Dec. 1 while it was parked in a driveway in the 15W500 block of 81st Street. An old iPhone and $5 in currency was stolen.
Wallet stolen
- A woman informed police Dec. 10 that someone stole her black leather Tory Burch brand wallet containing her credit cards and identifications from her Tory Burch purse that she left unattended in the outpatient rehabilitation room at Loyola Center for Health, 6800 N. Frontage Road. The suspect later fraudulently used the woman's debit card.
