Over 5 inches of rainfall in the past 4 days has caused flooding on some roadways. High standing water makes the following roadways impassable at this time:

Madison Street: between Executive Dr and Soper Rd

Drew Avenue: between of 79th St and 80th St

79th Street: between Drew Ave and Hamilton Ave

Wolf Road at 74th Street.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning and is forecasting an additional 1.5 inches of rainfall throughout this evening. Heavy rain and saturated soils will result in additional flooding, road closures, and detention ponds overflows.

Do not drive past barricades or attempt to navigate flooded roadways; instead seek alternate routes. For example, detour around flooded Madison Street using Soper Rd/Brush Hill Rd and N. Frontage Rd. Detour around 79th Street following signs using 77th St, Drew Ave and Hamilton Ave.

Children should be reminded that flooded streets and rivers are dangerous.
