Churches' Seminar to Focus on Sound Spirituality, Financial Success
An event held on March 5 focuses on using meditation and spirituality to develop financial success.

Can sound spirituality lead to financial success?
Church leaders at St. Helena’s Episcolpal Church in Burr Ridge and in Western Springs think so.
Representatives from Daemicke Financial Group and church leaders will host a seminar on healthy spiritual practices and the positive impact it can have on personal finances at St. James Lutheran Church, 5129 Wolf Rd., on Saturday, March 5.

“In our years of financial planning, we have learned that people who are at peace with themselves, with others, and with God make better financial decisions,” said Bob Daemicke, a financial counselor, in a press release.
The seminar will focus on spirituality as an essential first step toward abundance, meditation and wellbeing, how fear blocks our potential and how unhealthy thought patterns can damage relationships and finances.

“We often find that people who are uncertain, depressed, or fearful tend to manifest this in their finances,” said Rita Daemicke, who is also a financial counselor. “Those who are trusting, secure, and take a longer view do better financially as well as personally.”
Rev. Dr. Robert Wyatt of St. Helena's will lead discussions on using meditation to avoid dysfunctional thought patterns and how faith and wealth were understood by early Christians.
The seminar is offered in cooperation with the Spirituality Network of Chicago and is free and open to the public. It runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
