Separate Burr Ridge ZIP Code Pushed
The mayor is seeking the support of neighboring Willowbrook.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso said this week he is again pushing for a separate ZIP code for the village.
He said he first tried to get the change 14 years ago, but failed.
"I decided to take up the mantle again, which means I've asked to get the staff involved," Grasso told the Village Board.

The mayor said he has reached out to Willowbrook Mayor Frank Trilla about his village adopting a resolution to support Burr Ridge's bid. The two towns share the 60527 code.
"Mayor Trilla thought his board would be fully supportive, so I'm going to try again," Grasso said. "I think we can make a strong case why we should have it... Burr Ridge is long overdue for our own ZIP code."
