Several Roads Impassable In Burr Ridge Due To Rain

Drivers should not attempt to drive through flooded roadways and should seek alternate routes.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge has received 2 inches of rain on Thursday, and several roads in the village are impassable due to high standing water. According to the village, the following roadways are impassable:

  • Madison Street, between Executive Drive and Soper Road
  • Drew Avenue, between 79th Street and 80th Street
  • 79th Street, between Drew Avenue and Hamilton Avenue

Drivers should not attempt to drive through flooded roadways and seek alternate routes. The village said you can detour around flooded Madison Street using Soper Road/Brush Hill Road and North Frontage Road. Detour signs are posted for 79th Street at Drew Avenue and Hamilton Avenue. Children should be reminded that flooded streets and rivers are dangerous.
