Special Education Classroom Coming to Hinsdale South
The classroom is expected to be filled with 13 special education students who would ordinarily be taught in alternative schools outside D86.

A Hinsdale South High School classroom will be used beginning next year to instruct special education students who would ordinarily be taught in alternative schools outside District 86.
Tammy Prentiss, assistant superintendent of student services, recommended the idea to the District 86 board of education at the Jan. 26 meeting, and the board voted unanimously to approve the recommendation, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The classroom is expected to be filled with 13 special education students, a special education teacher, two aids and a social worker or psychologist at a lower cost than what the district currently pays to send those students to other schools, the Tribune reported.
