Suspect Identified In Burr Ridge Carjacking
Two people were following the woman before the crime, police said.

BURR RIDGE, IL — A Chicago man has been arrested in Monday's carjacking in Burr Ridge's downtown shopping district, the village's police department said Thursday.
Linwood E. Little, 41, was arrested on a charge of felony theft after Burr Ridge police investigated a carjacking that took place shortly after noon in the 100 block of Burr Ridge Parkway, according to a police news release.
A woman told officers that a man wearing a mask and a hooded sweatshirt approached her while she was in her car, pointed a handgun at her and demanded her car, a 2021 black Nissan Versa, police said. The suspect stole the car and drove away, police said. The woman was not injured in the incident.

Little was found, and investigators developed probable cause to arrest him, according to the news release.

According to police, Little, who was driving, and a yet-to-be-identified accomplice followed the woman Monday, with the intention of taking the cellphones and accessories the woman was transporting. When the woman took a rest break in Burr Ridge, Little's accomplice got out of the Cadillac and committed the carjacking, police said.
The Nissan Versa was found the next evening in the 2700 block of West Maypole in Chicago, police said.
In the news release, Police Chief John Madden commended the work of officers and investigators, including those from the Hinsdale Police Department's investigations unit.
"Due to their outstanding work, the offending vehicle in this case was quickly identified, and one offender was identified and apprehended," the chief said.
Detectives are working to identify the other suspect, police said.
The crime occurred on the Cook County side of Burr Ridge.
