Trustee Zach Mottl Missed 26% of Village Board Meetings
Trustee Zach Mottl Earns a Failing Grade for Board Meeting Attendance
Mayor Grasso made a comment a few months ago that Trustee Zach Mottl’s Board meeting attendance earns a failing grade. I decided to do some additional research.
I researched the Village Board Meeting Minutes for the period January 2018 to December 2020. Meeting attendance is recorded in the Meeting Minutes. Each set of minutes is reviewed and approved at the subsequent meeting. The minutes genuinely and accurately reflect the attendance of the Trustees as well as the business the Board conducts. During that period, there were 62 regularly scheduled Board meetings. I did not count those meetings that were canceled or the special meetings. Here is the link to the Meeting Minutes.

Missing a meeting is when a Trustee does not physically attend the meeting, does not participate in the meeting via Zoom or Teams, or does not phone into the meeting. In other words, he misses every fourth meeting. In contrast, Trustee Guy Franzese has missed zero meetings during that same 3 year period. ZERO meetings. Perfect attendance. All other Trustees have missed approximately 10% of the meetings.
Trustee Mottl obviously does not take his Trustee responsibilities seriously. Otherwise, if he did, he would attend most, if not all Village Board meetings like the five other Trustees.
