Two Of Firm's Solicitors Cited By Burr Ridge Police
Men from same company are given tickets within hours of each other, report says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police cited two men from the same company last week for going door to door selling pest control services without solicitor permits, according to police reports. They received tickets within hours of each other.
About noon July 9, an Aptive Pest Control solicitor was reported going door to door with an iPad in the 6400 block of Manor Drive. Officers saw the man and issued him a citation. The man's company has been warned before that solicitors were required to have permits, police said.
Several hours later, another resident complained about a solicitor from the same company. That solicitor was cited on Norris Drive on a charge of soliciting without a permit, according to a report.
