• Carbondale man charged with murder in deadly stabbing - KBSI FOX23 News Cape Girardeau News (kbsi23.com) — A Carbondale man has been charged with murder and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon after a stabbing on North Washington Street that killed a Murphysboro resident and injured another person. Police say officers responded Friday night, provided aid, and later arrested the suspect, who remains in Jackson County Jail as the investigation continues.
