Champaign Co-Hosting Forum To Promote Safety In Places Of Worship
The City of Champaign invites members of the public to the Protecting Places of Worship Forum on October 24, 2019.

The City of Champaign invites members of the public to the Protecting Places of Worship Forum on October 24, 2019, from 1:00-4:30 pm at Sinai Temple (3104 W. Windsor Rd, Champaign). The Forum will provide information and practical safety tips for faith-based leaders and community members on ways to prevent or respond to hate crimes against places of worship. Federal and local criminal justice, law enforcement, and safety experts will provide practical tips regarding emergency planning, fortifying structures, and how to respond to active shooter situations.

RSVP online before October 21, 2019. The Forum is facilitated by the U.S. Dept. of Justice and co-hosted by the City of Champaign, City of Urbana, University of Illinois, and Sinai Temple.
