Champaign Firefighter Recruitment Opens

Staff from the Fire and Human Resources Departments have collaborated to launch the 2020 Firefighter recruitment process. Applications are being accepted at NationalTestingNetwork.com through October 2, 2020.

The testing process will culminate with the 2021-2023 Eligibility List that is scheduled to be approved by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in February 2021. In addition to traditional recruitment strategies, the Fire Department is offering the second Adult Fire Explorers program in an effort to increase the diversity of qualified applicants.

Fire and HR staff will also be hosting a live virtual Recruitment Information Meeting through Zoom on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 7:00 pm CST (click here for registration link).
