October 7, 2021

On October 7, 2021, at approximately 3:12 a.m., Champaign Police responded to the 500 block of West White Street for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old male in an alley way suffering from multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds to his torso and arm. Responding officers rendered medical aid until the victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
