Starting April 1, 2020, the intersection of Wright Street and Green Street will be closed to east – west through traffic to allow for the reconstruction of the pavement within the intersection. The alternate route for Green Street traffic traveling across Wright Street is to use Goodwin Avenue and Fourth Street to either Springfield Avenue or University Avenue.

Some key pieces of information related to vehicle and pedestrian access at the intersection during this phase of the work are highlighted below:
• Wright Street will be one-way southbound between Green and John Streets.
• Eastbound traffic on Green Street will be required to turn either northbound or southbound onto Wright Street.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained across Wright Street on either the north or south side of the intersection. In the interest of pedestrian safety, which side will change depending on the construction activities taking place.

During this phase of construction, it is highly recommended that vehicles seek alternate routes when traveling through this area of campus. Access to businesses will be maintained during the construction. The work will take several weeks to complete.

Additional updates will be provided as the project progresses. For additional information visit www.mcoreproject.com.
