Construction In Champaign Exceeds $224 Million In 2020

Champaign continues to prove to be a great place to live, work, and play, as the City’s Building Safety Division processed $224,827,033 in construction permits during 2020. That makes 2020 the fifth-highest year on record. Continued commercial and residential development in Champaign is only possible thanks to the vision and guidance of the City Council and the hard work of all City staff who are dedicated to serving Champaign’s residents and visitors.
