1 Hospitalized After Overnight Blaze In Minooka

MINOOKA, IL —One person remains hospitalized following an early morning fire at a split-level house in Minooka. The Channahon Fire Protection District responded to the structure fire at 12:23 a.m.

Tuesday's blaze broke out at 25754 W.Hickory Court.

One resident was taken by ambulance to the Amita Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet for non-life threatening injuries, the fire department said. A second person was evaluated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

According to Channahon fire officials, the fire was contained to the upstairs bedrooms. Firefighters had the blaze under control around 12:50 a.m.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 5:30 a.m.

The cause remains under investigation, the fire department noted in Tuesday's press release.
