69 Minooka HS Students Earn AP Scholar Awards

Congratulations, students!

MINOOKA, IL — Sixty-nine students from Minooka Community High School have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement Exams given during the 2015-2016 school year.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on AP Exams. Award-winners indicated by an asterisk (*) are current MCHS seniors. Award-winners without an asterisk are members of the MCHS Class of 2016.

AP Scholar Award

Thirty-five MCHS students were granted the AP Scholar Award by for receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. The AP Scholar Award winners from MCHS include: Kelli Anderson, Brandon Baranski, Taylor Billie*, Claire Bottom, Christopher Brandt*, Mark Burjek, Shane Chetney, Hanna Dilday*, Julie Dosher*, Marcus Hayden, Chandler Horvat, Andrew Jepsen, Alexandra Kaste*, Trevor Kautz, Jacquline Krohn, Stephen Lasinis*, Kathryn Marti, Kayla McComb, Jenna Morgan*, Alexandra Motsch, Michael Pasteris, Zachary Petersen, Jason Raether, Jose Rodriguez*, Isabella Sadler, Hannah Schram, Jailene Silveri, Aurora Staggs*, Mackenzie Surdej*, Berker Ustura, Margaret Ward, Allison Wasiak, Caitlin Whitney, Jake Wilkinson*, and Lukas Wright*.

AP Scholar with Honor Award

Thirteen MCHS students were granted the AP Scholar with Honor Award by receiving an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. The AP Scholar with Honor Award winners from MCHS include: Skylar Callis*, Taylor Cinkovich, Brandt Compton*, Jacob Doster, Hailey Jermolowicz*, Benjamin Karczewski, Brandon Koppdon, David Kostyra*, Tessa Krusinski, Lydia Kurtz*, Jacob Swank, Lauren Watts*, and Paige Withall.

AP Scholar with Distinction Award

Twenty-one MCHS students were granted the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by receiving an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. The AP Scholar with Distinction Award winners from MCHS include: Persephone Allee, Sydney Arlis, Matthew Claassen, Michael Conway, Morgan Crouch, Andrew Engel, Conrad Goffinet, Madison Kaufman, Alexander Keener, Kyle Laite*, Amber Lindstrom, Alec Mitcheff*, Katelyn Prindle, Carmella Russell*, Nicholas Saveas, Morgan Scholtes, Hannah Schulz, Samuel Siesser, Benjamin Trouvais, Emma Van Drie, and Heather Zelko.

National AP Scholar

One MCHS student earned the National AP Scholar Award, which is granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. The National AP Scholar Award winner from MCHS is Conrad Goffinet.
