Attack At Lorenzo Road Truck Stop Leads To Arrest
Julio Cesar Hernandez, 27, of Louisiana, is accused of attacking two men inside a truck stop near Wilmington, prompting a police response.

WILMINGTON, IL — A 27-year-old man from New Iberia, Louisiana has posted 10 percent of his $100,000 bail following his recent arrest by the Will County Sheriff's Office in connection with allegations he tried to strangle another man at the Moshen Truck Stop, 24001 West Lorenzo Road.
Julio Cesar Hernandez was arrested by sheriff's deputies on Sept. 7, the same day of the incident. Hernandez now faces three counts of aggravated battery, all felonies. One charge states that Hernandez strangled a man inside the truck stop along Lorenzo Road.
The second charge states that Hernandez meant to cause bodily harm to the victim, striking the man in the head, while the victim was visiting a public place of accommodation or amusement.

The third charge states that Hernandez pushed a second man while also inside the Moshen Truck Stop.
Will County Jail records indicate that Hernandez spent an entire week living in the county detention facility, and then on Sept. 14, the jail guards unlocked his cell and let him outside the building. Hernandez had posted the necessary $10,000 cash to regain his freedom as his case awaits trial at the Will County Courthouse.
