Braidwood Man Violates Stalking No Contact Order: Prosecutors

BRAIDWOOD, IL — Will County prosecutors have charged Brandon "Arnie" Arnold, a 38-year-old resident of Braidwood, with unlawful violation of a stalking no-contact order following an incident last week in Braidwood.

On Oct. 4, Arnold stood in front of the victim's vehicle and yelled at him, according Braidwood Police Chief Todd Lyons' criminal complaint.

Braidwood's Police Department responded to the incident and arrested Arnold, who lives in the 1400 block of North Center Street in Braidwood. Arnold spent one day in the Will County Jail before posting 10 percent of his $3,000 bail to regain his freedom on the night of Oct. 5, jail records show.

In September, a Will County judge entered a stalking no-contact order against Arnold, who was notified by the judge to stay away from a Braidwood man who lives on East Cermak Road.

According to court records, on Sept. 20, Arnold "threatened my life and assaulted me at Casey's General Store in Braidwood, IL. This kind of thing happened periodically since January when he started dating my ex ... I am scared for my life. He is ... very intimidating who constantly stalks, harasses and intimidates me."

The victim in the case notified Will County court officials that "Brandon keeps threatening to kill me. He follows me everywhere."
