CHANNAHON, IL — Fireworks at the Channahon Community Park have been canceled.
According to the Channahon Police Department, the fireworks contractor was involved in an explosion Sunday that caused injuries to the pyro technicians and damage to the equipment. It is unknown if or when the fireworks will be rescheduled.
The band and all other activities at the park are still on.
