Channahon Drunken Driver Had 8-Month-Old Child In Car: Prosecutor
A Will County grand jury has indicted Minooka resident Anthony Monte, 32, on two felony charges of aggravated driving under the influence.

CHANNAHON, IL — A 32-year-old Minooka motorist was indicted Thursday on two felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence after Will County prosecutors say Anthony Monte was intoxicated and driving on a revoked license with an 8-month-old child as a passenger in his car.
According to the Will County indictment, Monte was driving a Chevrolet Traverse on Route 6 when Channahon police pulled him over and discovered an 8-month-old child as his passenger. The aggravated DUI indictment noted that Monte also has a 2015 DUI conviction out of Omaha, Nebraska, from Douglas County.
On Thursday, Channahon's new Police Chief Adam Bogart provided Patch with the following details surrounding the Minooka motorist's arrest from last month:

During that investigation, the officer learned Monte's driver's license was revoked after a driving under the influence arrest in Nebraska.
As a result of the Dec. 3 traffic stop in Channahon, Monte was initially charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, Aggravated DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
According to court records, Monte comes from the 1800 block of Minooka's Water's Edge Drive. He has retained a downtown Joliet lawyer, Jack Zaremba, as his defense counsel.
