Channahon Woman Faces Heroin Charges
Channahon's Police Department made the arrest of the 31-year-old resident on Aug. 8.

CHANNAHON, IL — A 31-year-old woman from Channahon faces felony drug charges in connection with her Aug. 8 arrest by the Channahon Police Department on heroin possession, court records reflect. Channahon officers delivered Kari Hickman, who lives on West Fox Trail, to the Will County Jail, on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, heroin, as well as unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The criminal complaint states that on Aug. 8 Hickman "possessed a burnt spoon, an item of drug paraphernalia, with the intent to use it in introducing a controlled substance into the human body."
Will County court records indicate that Hickman's bail was initially set at $25,000, then it was later lowered to $5,000. After five days in the county jail, Hickman was freed last week, on Aug. 12, after posting the necessary 10 percent, which is $500.
