Coal City McDonald's Hosts McTeacher's Night for Coal City High School
A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's.
Coal City High School of School District 1 held their first annual McTeacher's Night at the Coal City McDonald's on Broadway St, on Tuesday, September 12th. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school.
On Tuesday, the atmosphere at the Coal City McDonalds restaurant was nothing short of spectacular. The teachers were excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for Coal City High School. The students and families were excited to see their teachers behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.
Fourteen teachers worked from the School. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, Ice Cream, drive-thru, and selling pies while dressed in a pie costume. All which were executed with great enthusiasm and huge smiles on everyone's faces.

Mrs. Kenney, Mr. Micetich, and Ms. Erb all had a blast taking turns in the Pie Costume selling pies for donations to their School families.
There was no shortage of entertainment for the evening. The Coal City Pom Squad started off the night with a few routines and were followed by the Coal City Cheer Team, Band, Color Guard and Footnotes. Each performance was truly amazing. This school has some very talented students.
