A Dozen Things To Do At Channahon's Three Rivers Festival

CHANNAHON, IL - This growing village near Joliet is celebrating its annual Three Rivers Festival over the next four days. The annual community festival got underway Wednesday night and concludes Sunday night. Activities take place at Central Park, at the intersection of Bluff Road and Route 6.

How many reasons do you need to attend? Here's a dozen we've compiled at the Channahon-Minooka Patch:

1. Carnival rides, games and Midway. From 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, 1 p.m. to midnight Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

2. Bingo from 6 from 11 p.m. Thursday, 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

3. Little Miss Channahon Contest takes place at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

4. The Hillbilly Rockstarz play at the Beer Garden Stage from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

5. The Beer Garden stays open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.

6. ARRA plays at the Beer Garden Stage from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Friday.

7. Food vendors at the Midway are open from 5 to 11 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

8. Saturday's Warrior Dash. The day-long competition goes from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There's a 5K obstacle course race and a muddy battleground. You can find more information here.

9. Jason Kollum Jugging Show 3 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Jason Kollum Stilt Walker roaming the festival grounds from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

10. Hairbangers Ball plays from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Beer Garden Stage.

11. Sunday. The annual parade, rain or shine. Starts at noon at Fryer and Bridge.

12. Car and Bike Show noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.
