Floating Body Recovered Near Channahon

The Will County Coroner's Office said the body was found on Monday evening in the Channahon area of the river.

CHANNAHON, IL — The Will County Coroner's Office said that a body was pulled out of the Des Plaines River on Monday evening in the Channahon area. The unidentified body was in the Des Plaines River nearly one mile downstream from the Des Plaines River bridge on the north side of the channel in Channahon.

The Illinois State Police is in charge of the investigation and an autopsy is set for Tuesday.
