Forest Preserve District of Will County Hosts 'Music at McKinley'

Celebrate summer with a free concert, car show and fireworks on Aug. 16 at McKinley Woods - Kerry Sheridan Grove in Channahon.

“Music at McKinley” is hosted by the Forest Preserve District of Will County and presented by JULIE Inc., the event’s title sponsor for 2014.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a car show. There is no car registration fee. To display your vehicle in the show, pre-register online, download the registration form and mail or fax it as directed on the form, or call 815-727-8700. Car show registration also will be available at the event beginning at 6 p.m.

From 7 to 10 p.m., you can dance the night away at a free concert featuring the 1950s rock ‘n’ roll and rockabilly sounds of the Cadillac Casanovas. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy a night of music under the summer night sky. End the evening with a spectacular fireworks display. No reservations or tickets are necessary for the concert. Wearing insect repellent is recommended. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Heroes West Sports Grill.
