I-55 Bridge Repairs Near Arsenal Road
IDOT crews have called for emergency deck repairs on southbound Interstate 55 near Channahon.
CHANNAHON, IL — Emergency deck repairs are underway on an Interstate 55 bridge about three miles south of Arsenal Road in Will County. Work began on the structure that carries southbound I-55 traffic over the BNSF railroad and Grant Creek on Monday, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
While repairs are being made, the right lane and right shoulder of I-55 will be closed in the area. IDOT will keep at least one lane of traffic open at all times, however.
The repairs should be completed by the end of the night on Monday, Nov. 13.
