Attack At Channahon Community Park: Joliet Man Charged
A Channahon Police Department investigation of a June 30 incident at Community Park resulted in four criminal charges.

JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old Joliet man was taken into custody on Tuesday in connection with an attack against a woman at a Channahon public park on June 30.
The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged 23-year-old Myles L. Jones with four crimes: aggravated battery, domestic battery, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and criminal damage to property.
Last week, Will County Judge Sarah Jones issued a bench warrant for the Joliet man's arrest and the judge set bail at $100,000.

According to the Channahon Police Department's criminal complaint, Jones struck a woman in the head at the Channahon Community Park on McClintock Road on June 30. The domestic violence charge states that the victim in the case was a family or household member of Jones.
The criminal damage to property charge states that Jones damaged the cell phone of the victim and the fourth charge indicates that Jones grabbed the woman's cell phone to prevent her from calling 911.

Authorities in Marshall County booked Jones into the Will County Jail on Tuesday afternoon. The criminal defendant lives in Joliet's 2000 block of McKinley Avenue.
