Joliet Man Charged With Sexually Abusing 16-Year-Old Girl

A Joliet man was charged with sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl.

David Mascote was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Will County jail. His bond was set at $30,000.

More than nine months ago, “deputies were informed of a possible sexual assault on a 16 year old female victim,” the sheriff’s department said in a press release. “According to statements, the assault had occurred in” Mascote’s car following a “family party.”

Detectives secured a warrant for Mascote’s arrest the same day he was taken into custody.
