Joliet Man Made Unauthorized Videos In Channahon: Police

The Joliet man has gone into hiding. Can you help Channahon Police find him?

CHANNAHON, IL— Channahon Police are asking for the public to help in locating a 36-year-old man who faces two counts of unauthorized video recording. Richard K. Buss is accused of using his phone to make unauthorized videos of a juvenile relative on July 24, Channahon Police said.

A bench warrant for Buss' arrest was issued last week, on Aug. 21. Bail was set at $75,000, but so far, the police have been unable to locate the suspect. The criminal investigation began in July.

"As of the time of this release Buss remains at large. Anyone with information on Buss’s location is asked to call the Channahon Police Department at 815-467-2112 or 911 in the case of an emergency," Channahon Police have asked.

A press release issued Monday by Channahon Police indicated that Buss is living somewhere in Joliet. The warrant for his arrest indicated he had been living in Channahon on South Patricia Lane.

Police indicated they did not have a photo of Buss at this time.
