Keating Pointe Approved By Village Board

A plan to build 86 homes on the west end of Channahon appears ready to move forward.

CHANNAHON, IL - The Villas of Keating Pointe, a planned development of 86 single family homes, has been approved by village trustees in Channahon. Core Homes developer Tom Major is planning the new development just south of Route 6 on 27 acres of property between Keating Boulevard and River Plaza Drive, according to the Herald-News.

All of the new homes will be one-story, two-bedroom ranch homes with attached two-car garages. They will range in square feet from 1,308 to 1,621 and in price from $230,000 to $250,000.

A previous plan to build 134 townhomes at the site was nixed due to the economic recession.
