Minooka Church Hosts 'Great Church Giveaway'

This weekend marks the fifth annual the Great Church Giveaway at Minooka Bible Church, 412 N. Wabena in Minooka. The sale is from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 9.

This is a free “garage sale” type event, offered to anyone in the surrounding areas. Items include home and garden, housewares, kitchen, children’s, men’s, and women’s clothing, children’s books and toys, furniture, sports gear, electronics, books and videos, and much more.

If you’re interested in donating gently used items, donations will be accepted from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the church’s north entrance.

On Saturday, doors will open at 8 a.m. and shopping will conclude at noon. There will also be a free raffle in the 11 o’clock hour.
