Minooka High School Named One of Best Public High Schools in Illinois
MCHS was ranked 93rd.

Minooka Community High School has been named one of the “Best Public High Schools in Illinois” for 2016, according to Niche.com, a national ranking and review web site. MCHS was ranked the 93rd best public high school in Illinois according to the report.
“MCHS is honored to receive this award from Niche.com and be recognized as one of the elite high schools in Illinois,” said MCHS Principal Ron Kiesewetter. “As we continue to earn recognition for our staff and students’ quality work, it is also gratifying to share these moments together and continue to see evidence that we are moving in a positive direction.”

According to Niche.com, student performance data and parent and student survey results are among the data sources used for ranking calculations. The web site also indicates rankings are “measured by hard data and across a number of key factors so that no one factor dominates a ranking.”
MCHS earned an overall grade of B+, which is a composite of the following subcategory grades:

The award from Niche.com marks the second time this school year MCHS has earned a high level of recognition. This past fall, MCHS was also included in the “2015 America’s Top High Schools” report by Newsweek (ranked #349 in the nation).
