Minooka HS Superintendent Kenny Lee Takes New Job

Kenny Lee spent six years overseeing the Minooka High School District. The Paxton native is returning to central Illinois for his next job.

MINOOKA, IL — After six years as superintendent of Minooka Community High School District 111, Channahon resident Kenny Lee is taking over as the next superintendent for the Mahomet-Seymour School District. Lee's departure was first reported by the Mahomet Daily.

According to his profile, Lee has been Minooka's high school superintendent since July 2016. Before that, Lee was superintendent for six years with Iroquis County Unit 9 in Watseka. He is originally from Paxton.

“I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve as the next Superintendent of Schools for Mahomet-Seymour Community Unit School District No. 3," Lee said, according to the Mahomet Daily. "Having grown up in nearby Ford County, I appreciate the rich history and great reputation of the school district and community. I am more than excited to begin building relationships with all stakeholders, and looking forward to becoming a Bulldog."
