CHANNAHON, IL — A 35-year-old Minooka resident remains in the Will County Jail after Channahon police arrested him on charges of dealing cocaine over the weekend. A Will County judge set bail at $30,000 for Gabriel Ramirez, who lives in the 400 block of West Mondamin Street.

The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged Ramirez with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of controlled substances and obstruction of justice.

The criminal complaint indicates that Ramirez tried to deliver between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine on July 25. The obstruction of justice charge indicates that Ramirez gave a false name to Channahon police officer Dustin Carlson, initially telling the officer that his name was Alejandro Ramirez when it was not.
