Minooka Names Dan Duffy New Administrator

Outgoing village administrator James Grabowski steps down July 1.

When accepting a plaque from Minooka Village President Pat Brennan, emotions got the best of him. He did manage, despite being choked up, to say the following about Minooka:

"It's the board's dedication to the quality of life that really made my nine years here enjoyable."

Grabowski has been the village administrator for nine years. His last day is July 1, at which point newly appointed Dan Duffy will take over. Duffy has been serving as the Grundy County administrator, but says his working relationship with Minooka began when he was employed in the village of Dwight.

"I've worked with Minooka over the years, ever since I started with the village of Dwight," he said in an interview after Tuesday's board meeting.

He said his new position with the village is a very good opportunity. Details of the package offered to Duffy were not available Tuesday night but will be posted as soon as they become public.
