Minooka Students Excel at SkillsUSA State Conference

Great job, students!

Several Minooka Community High School students currently taking coursework at the Grundy Area Vocational Center in Morris participated in the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference this past weekend in Springfield. The event hosted over 2,000 students, teachers and business partners for three days that included over 85 competitions.

- Automotive: senior Adam Lindemann - 2nd place, and senior Brian Quinn - 6th place

- Cosmetology: senior Jackie Greene - 3rd place, and senior Alyssa Burger - 4th place

- Criminal Justice/CSI (team): seniors Alex Lopez, Alexis Grant, and Catherine Price - 2nd place

- Fire Science: senior Jerrod Boetto - 8th place, and senior Bailey Maxard - 9th place

- Preschool Interactive Bulletin Boards (team): juniors Emily Lindmark and Maegan Goocher - 4th place

- Welding: senior Benjamin Cochran - 3rd place, senior Bryson Biermann - 5th place, junior Jacob Govednik - 10th place, senior Jason Frost - 12th place, senior Steven Nosal - 13th place, junior Jacob Swatek - 19th place, junior Brent Beckwith - 21st place, and junior Nick Pinto - 22nd place
