We also make our very popular Spicy Rice, coleslaw and chicken salad in house. Our weekly features include Bone in Chicken Wednesday's and here at Chicken-N-Spice Thursday is always "Gumbo Day". We are also known for catering our Chicken Chunks and our homemade sides for your parties and events.

Will County Children's Advocacy Center

The Will County Children's Advocacy Center was founded in 1995 by State's Attorney James Glasgow to partner with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) comprised of law enforcement, DCFS investigators, medical personnel, prosecutors, and Will County CAC forensic interviewers, family advocates, and trauma therapists in response to reports of severe physical abuse, sexual abuse, commercial exploitation, neglect, and exposure to violence of children, in Will County, IL. Our Will County CAC intake/MDT coordinator, forensic interviewers, family advocates, and trauma therapists provide the following services: * Forensic Interviews: After a child is referred to the Will County CAC by law enforcement or the IL Dept. of Family Services (DCFS), our Intake Coordinator schedules a forensic interview for the child. One of our 4 forensic interviewers listens to the child’s story and asks non-leading, developmentally-appropriate questions as the child talks about the trauma he/she has experienced. Law enforcement, prosecution, DCFS, and mental health professionals observe the interview from a separate room. This reduces trauma for the child and provides a stronger foundation if the case goes to court. * Family Advocacy: Our family advocates are committed to helping each family navigate the complex systems that a family enters when a child makes an outcry of abuse. As each case goes through the investigation, prosecution and healing process, the team is there to help the family understand the process, learn about their rights and successfully access resources that will help their family during crisis. * Trauma-Focused Therapy: Our team of licensed clinical social workers provide short-term, trauma informed therapy to children who have received a forensic interview. Since child abuse affects the whole family, the services are available at no cost to both the child and their non-offending family members. Individual and group therapy is offered in English and Spanish.

MINOOKA, IL — The Minooka Police Department has announced that a 28-year-old Minooka man who had not been for seen five days has been found. Authorities had announced in a press release that Brandon Kranz's family has not seen or heard from him since Friday, May 15. Kranz left Minooka driving a 2014 tan Buick Encore and was wearing a dark orange or dark brown shirt, dark jeans. Police say he has a short beard. He is 5-foot-9 and weighs 220 pounds. According to Minooka Police, Kranz is considered missing and endangered. The GO FLY A KITE KITE FESTIVAL sponsored by the Wheaton Park District, Gift of Wings and Giftofwings.com, and the Wheaton Eye Clinic, will take place in Graf Park in Wheaton, 1855 Manchester Rd from 10 am until 1 pm.&nbsp; The Grand Launch will take place at 11:00 am, with the Wheaton Eye Clinic Kids Mad Dash taking place at 12:00 pm.&nbsp; The first 35 kids that sign up and participate will receive a FREE kite compliments of the Wheaton Eye Clinic.&nbsp; Gift of Wings will be featuring the Badger Dream team flying the Giant Kites, some over 100 feet long.&nbsp; Gift of Wings will be selling kites for this great event.&nbsp; Food Trucks will be on-site!&nbsp; Now, come over to Graf Park and GO FLY A KITE!

Gardner location. Our
outdoor flea market will be open from 9AM until 3PM
at Parks
Place, 102 S. Rt. 53, a
block east of I-55 (Gardner Exit #227). Parks Place was
once a Standard Oil Filling Station located on Rt. 66, and
our May 3rd market
is part of Red Carpet Corridor 2026, featuring family
friendly events along Rt.
66 from Joliet to Towanda. New
vendors are always welcome, and
we do not require advance
reservations, so if
you would like to be a vendor in
Gardner for Red Carpet Corridor this
coming Sunday, or at
any of our upcoming markets in
Morris, Mazon
or Gardner, simply arrive
at 8AM, pay the $15 vendor fee and take an available spot. Proceeds
from vendor fees received
at this event will be
donated to the Grundy County Historical Society. For
