'Music at McKinley' Canceled
Flooding concerns cited as the reason for the cancellation.

“Music at McKinley,” which was scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 20, has been canceled due to heavy rains the area has experienced over the last several days, the Forest Preserve District of Will County announced on Thursday, June 18.
The district’s outdoor car show and concert was going to be held at McKinley Woods – Kerry Sheridan Grove in Channahon, but standing water has accumulated on asphalt and grassy areas that would have been used for lawn chair seating, event staging and parking at the site. The event will not be rescheduled.
“For the safety and comfort of our visitors and to protect the condition of the preserve, we decided it would be best to cancel,” said Ralph Schultz, the district’s director of planning and operations.
