Jeffrey Scott Dew, age 63, of Joliet, formerly of Morris and Plainfield, passed away, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at The Pearl of Joliet.

Jeffrey grew up in Plainfield and was a graduate of Plainfield High School. He built his life around simple joys and strong values, always finding happiness in the outdoors, especially when fishing. He worked at Simotes Motor Sales in Minooka for many years.
He enjoyed mowing the lawn and would offer to lend a hand to his neighbors. Above all, Jeffrey was devoted to his family. He took great pride in caring for them and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, always stepping in to help and support them in any way he could.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Dew; children, Michella Ann Watters and Scott Alvin Dew; grandchildren, Alexis Nicole (Saul Mendez) Shoemaker, Philip Wayne Shoemaker, Jr., Christian Lee Watters, Antonio Robert Watters, Bridget Sueann Archer, Christopher Alan Archer, Jr.; great-grandson, Miklo Erik Mendez; brother, Robert (Carrie) Dew, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Preceded in death his father, Robert Alvin Dew, Sr.;grandsons, Nycolous Shoemaker and Keaton Carver; brothers, Joseph Marvin Dew and Steven Mark Dew; sister, Debbie Lynn Dew.
As it was Jeffrey's request, cremation rites have been accorded.There will be a private family inurnment at a later date at Plainfield Township Cemetery.
