Mike was known for his sense of humor, often being called the funniest person people knew. He loved his Chicago sports teams, especially the Cubs and the Bears. He often argued with his twin sons over who is the true GOAT, Michael Jordan or Lebron James (Michael Jordan is, for the record). He loved making paracord bracelets and painting with his daughter. His favorite way to unwind was to watch TV shows like Friends, The Office, and murder documentaries, as well as watch sports with his sons. He could quote every word to the movie Friday.
Mike was his sons’ biggest fan, coaching them in football, soccer, basketball, and baseball when they were younger and cheering from the stands when they were older. His lasting impact is felt not only by his children but by their teammates as well. His son describes Mike as one of the hardest working people he knew. Mike was always working on the house, fixing things, and taking care of everyone else. He was never much of a fan of snuggling humans, but his dog Drax had a permanent spot in the bed next to him. His family was his whole life, and he was a dedicated husband and father who gave his all for them. He was selfless, always making sure his family had what they needed, and he put himself last. Above all, he had a relationship with God and helped his children build and strengthen their relationship with Christ.
